After Vappu, the summer of 2024 is just behind the corner. To celebrate the long awaited summer after a winter that has felt like a lifetime, we are going to go back in time... to the summer of 2014! 

That means get your flannels, owl necklaces and all the weird moustache miscallenea that was in fashion back then, and head to Alina hall on Monday, 13th of May. The party goes on from 18 to 02, and all througout the night you will hear all the radio hits from the early 2010s.

This event is organised by Sub, Matrix and Polvi. The tickets will go on sale on Monday the 6th of May at noon on kide.app: https://kide.app/en/events/473eb98e-52f4-4a0e-8f42-30399d8e4de7 

With your ticket you will also get some snacks/beverages. The tickets are on sale until the event starts. After that you can buy a ticket at the door if there are any left. Remember to bring your student ID. This event is for Sub, Matrix and Polvi students only.

With a bit of a breather from vappu, grab what's left of you and your overalls, and join forces with the computer scientists of TKO-äly as we dive head-first into Turku!

AATU is a riverside pub crawl event organized yearly in Turku since 1995. AATU (officially Akateeminen Aurajokilaivuritutkinto) is all about appreciating the wonderful riverside in Turku and also about celebrating the beginning of the summer holidays. Compared to other student events, AATU has its very own, unique and relaxed atmosphere as the participants meet up with friends to enjoy the springtime with some drinks. 

All restaurants that take part in the event are included in a special degree map that is handed out to each participant when you register on the day of the event. The degree map is in effect a map of the Turku riverside with participating restaurants clearly highlighted. The afterparty venue will this year be Marilyn + Vegas

A bus ride to Turku and back is included in the price of the ticket. We will leave by 11 AM from in front of the Chemcum building and make our way back at around 3 AM. The ticket price may change, but it's at most €35.

Welcome to the sitsit for mathematics students who are in their 5th year or academically older, as well as alumni! The event will take place on May 18th at Kattosauna Sivistys (Leppäsuonkatu 11).

The event will start with a cocktail event at Klusteri (downstairs at Sivistys) at 18, and dinner will be served at around 19. The sitsit will end at 01, followed by an afterparty at Klusteri.

The sitsit costs 25 € and ticket includes a three-course vegan dinner, two servings of wine, and two shots. All drinks are available as non-alcoholic options.

Matrix is organizing CLUB CLUSTER on Saturday, May 18th, starting at 7 PM at Matlu Klusteri (address: Leppäsuonkatu 11). To gain entry to this exclusive club experience, ring the doorbell labeled "Christina Regina". CLUB CLUSTER offers a cocktail bar, a rave cave, light snacks, great music, and above all, a safe space for clubbing and raving for all dancers.

Thanks to this unique experience, you'll get to witness the true potential of the Klusteri when we turn the lights off and let the bass thump. So, put on your best dancing attire and come rave in the midst of a lively community of mathematicians!

The dress code is something dark, neon, sparkly, and you. 🎵

Ready to celebrate the summer? What’s a better way to do so than with our friends from Helsinki. Join us on Wednesday 22.5 for the FK-Resonassi-Matrix-Integralis summer party! After a guild room tour at 16:30 (address: Otakaari 1, K door), we will move to the Jämeräntaival 5 living room at 17 for an evening of board games, karaoke, and grilled snacks. Have you ever thought of running in a race? Or just completing a half marathon? Well now is your chance! 

Matrix ry organizes a group registration to the BMW Helsinki half marathon on Saturday, 24th August 2024. By signing up through Matrix, you will save about half of the registration cost and get to run in great company. Matrix will sponsor the discounted price for the first 15 people. All runners from all skill levels are more than welcome to join the team. The goal of the team is to reach the finish line and most importantly have fun! 

Registration information will be asked to provide when the registration closes via e-mail.

“Helsinki Marathon is one of the biggest running events in Finland, and it will be run again 24.8.2024 in Helsinki downtown. All the runners from beginners to pros are more than welcome to join Helsinki Marathon.”
